The "Melo" Sandwich at the Carnegie Deli vs. Hot Pastrami at the Tel Aviv Farmer's Market

The Carnegie Deli in New York recently added the "Melo" sandwich to their menu in honor of Carmelo Anthony's addition to the NY Knicks lineup. At a mere $21.95 the sandwich is comprised of pastrami, corned beef, salami, bacon, lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing on rye bread.

For lighter fare..."Delicious" in the Tel Aviv Port covered farmer's market serves a decent pastrami sandwich (also available in "lean") served on a countryish bread with lettuce, tomato, pickles and mustard aioli or regular mustard. A small sandwich runs 35NIS (about $10) and a 400g sandwich 55NIS. Add a "gazoz" (soda water) to the 35NIS sandwich for another 4 NIS. Such a deal.
