Bike Ride Around Tel Aviv 2011

It’s was hard to find a car on the streets of Tel Aviv on Yom Kippur but the number of bikes on the streets continued (sadly) to grow.  This Friday’s annual Bike Ride Around Tel Aviv will give you a chance to ride on car free streets and on the Ayalon Freeway!

Register online to participate in one of Friday’s rides. There’s a family friendly 7 km ride with a start time between 9:30– 10:15 am. You can start the 20 km ride between 7:45 -8:30 am and must get to the Ayalon Freeway by 9:00 am if you want take that route back to Tel Aviv. The 40 km ride (2x the 20 km ride) has starts between 6:45 – 7:30 am. A few changes from last year – all routes will avoid the bridge between the Tel Aviv Port and Reading (whew) and bikes with training wheels are not allowed on the Ayalon. Sorry kids

Each rider gets an event t shirt (come early, last year the large sizes disappeared early) and a bottle of Neviot water.

Professional riders will compete between 12:00 – 13:15 around Kikar Hamedina.
