Designs by Cheri – Unique Designs by a Unique Woman

Vancouver native and Efrat resident Cheri Tannenbaum is a designer with a disability who creates and designs one of a kind skirts….made from men’s ties! Diagnosed at the age of twenty with the rare movement disorder Dystonia, Cheri found her unique creative outlet while pursuing her master’s degree in human development.

Each skirt is one of a kind and can be purchased directly from Cheri via the Designs By Cheri website.

Cheri was recently selected to display her work at the Chicago Merchandise Mart’s “One of A Kind Show” featuring high-end craftspeople. To watch the ABC-7/Chicago piece on Cheri please click here.

Merchants from Southern Israel Fair in the Tel Aviv Port

Merchants from the south are selling their wares in Hangar 11 in the Tel Aviv Port today, Sunday, January 11th (noon – midnight ) and tomorrow Monday, January 12th (10:00 a.m. – midnight). This is a great way to show our support by helping struggling merchants from the south.

There's something for everyone: Flowers, garlic, cheeses from Kibbutz Be'eri (Hebrew site) and Shai (below) who markets cheeses from around the country, wines from the Negev based Ben Shoshan and La Tierra Promessa wineries.

AND....... T – shirts from Beersheba designed by the very charming Maor from Groovnik (Hebrew site), pictured below in his "Caution: Camel Crossing" T – shirt.

There are also I Love Sderot t-shirts and rubber bracelets for sale at the Committee for a Safe Sderot booth. Visit their English/Hebrew website to see the to the "Kassam Counter" in the upper right hand corner. Need I say more.

The fair is sponsored by the Tel Aviv Municipality, The Galilee and Negev Development Office and Hangar 11. It was very crowded on Monday morning – walk to Hangar 11 from the Reading parking lot to avoid parking disappointment.

War in Southern Israel

T in Tel Aviv is going to take a break from posting for a few days due to what is happening in southern Israel. At the moment all is quiet in Tel Aviv and we expect it to remain so. If it doesn't you WILL hear from T in Tel Aviv!

In the meantime below you will find links to various websites that carry up to date information on what is happening.

I hope that everyone has a quiet and peaceful weekend.
