Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Tel Aviv's Rothschild Blvd. was lit up in pink light Wednesday night to kick off World Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2009 .

The Israel Cancer Association (ICA) is organizing the local campaign, and more than 200 worldwide landmarks including the Tokyo Tower in Japan and Los Angeles International Airport lit up for the kick off.

On Friday October 16, 2009 the 4K Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in memory of Mindy Greenberg and Diane Taragin will take place in Park Ra’anana. Advance registration is available on line through the 13th – 25NIS per person or 100 NIS per family. On the day of the event – 50 NIS per person or 150 per family. (Early registration guarantees a Walkathon T shirt)
