The flagship of the Centennial Year’s month of art is the return of Art TLV from the 10th to the 24th of September. Contemporary art from both Israel and abroad will be exhibited at various sites including The Mani-Leumi House, The Nahum Guttman Museum in Neve Tzedek and the Bezalel Gallery at 60 Salame. Admission is free on Thursday the 10th only.
Loving Art-Making Art celebrates the opening of the gallery exhibition season on September 10th. On Thursday dozens of galleries will open from 14:00 until the late hours of the night. On the 11th and 12th 200 artists from different parts of the city will open their studios to the public from 12:00-17:00 (Friday) and from 10:00-16:00 (Saturday) . Maps are available at museums, galleries and studios throughout the city.

As you walk around Tel Aviv you'll see the works of over 400 artists handing along the major boulevards (Chen, Rothschild, Ben Zion, David Hamelech, Hachil, Jerusalem and Ben Gurion) in celebration of plastic art in the public space. Thru the end of September.

As mentioned in Sunday’s T in Tel Aviv post, The Dvir Gallery is having an active week. Tuesday night marked the opening of their new Jaffa Port space. On Thursday the 10th (20:00) another Dvir new space opens at 11 Nitzana Street (map ) with the group show “Rings of Saturn” . Participating artists are Nelly Agassi, Yanai Toister, Barak Ravitz, Hillel Roman and Karen Russo who will exhibit new works. The exhibition pays tribute to W.G. Sebald’s Rings of Saturn, recently published in Hebrew.
