As the Jewish High Holidays approach, Tel Aviv's Rabin Square will be decorated between September 15th-17th with a unique carpet, composed of 500,000 flowers.
The carpet's design is a homage to the history of Tel Aviv, and was inspired by tiles and murals found in the homes of several of the city's founders.

The flower carpet is a special tribute of the city of Brussels for the Tel Aviv-Yafo Centennial Year. The Brussels' Flower Carpet has been an annual event in Belgium since 1976 where the primary flower used is the Begonia. Belgium cultivates some 60 million Begonias a year and is the world's largest producer.
